Sunday May 7th brings Venus entering Cancer in your seventh house of relationships and partners. These relationships aren’t limited to romantic ones even though this is usually what we talk about especially with this transit. It is perfectly acceptable to use this self-care Sunday to stay in bed all day enjoying extracurricular activities with your romantic partner. If you’re not in a relationship then maybe this is an event like a BBQ or a local carnival type of event where you play lots of games that’s held by your local church or some kind of institution. There’s a definite possibility of hidden emotions or having to hide yours so mind yourself & your alcohol consumption cause you will have a loose tongue.

On Saturday May 13th Venus in Cancer has a harmonious energy with Saturn in Pisces in the nature of playboy Jupiter. In the general May forecast I said this read as a long sexual encounter and this is happening in your seventh house of relationships and your third house of communication. If you are in a relationship with someone there’s a definite chance of dirty talk and fun times. Just know that if you aren’t trying to procreate… take those important steps. If you’re not in a relationship this transit still looks like it would be a lot of fun maybe establishing long term local relationships. Remember when I say relationship it doesn’t have to be a romantic one. It can absolutely be platonic or in the form of a sibling. A lot of emotional communication is bound to happen here and in a loving way.

The next day, Sunday May 14th (Mother’s Day in the USA), Mercury stations direct in your fifth house. Keep in mind that while Mercury is stationing they’re moving slow as hell. So any communication that you were waiting on regarding your kids or creativity is going to still be delayed. You’ll get the answers in the next couple of days. Try to keep your patience. 

Tuesday May 16th has Jupiter entering Taurus where he’ll stay until 2024. In the general forecast I said that this is a feeling of happiness at having hard work pay off. This is in your fifth house of children, sex, and creativity. It’s putting more of an effort to find the fun in life again so you can have better relationships. If you’ve gotten wrapped up in the everyday ins and outs where you’re just going with the same routine every day and the fun has been sucked out of life now is the time to find that joy again. Find the things that you enjoy. What makes you smile. Jupiter spending a year in this house will be beneficial if you put in the effort for positive things in this area of life. If you don’t put in the effort or put the effort into the wrong things it won’t go how you think it will. Jupiter helps things grow. He’s going to grow whatever you put effort into. If you put no effort you get no rewards. Think back to what happened June 2011 to June 2012 for an idea of the themes that will play out for you this time around.  

Mars leaves the Moon’s sign of Cancer and enters the Sun’s sign of Leo on Saturday May 20th at 11:32am EDT. In the general forecast I said that it’s time to bask in the praise from your coworkers or from your online followers who recognize all the effort you’ve been putting into your public image. However this transit is taking place in your eighth house of your partner’s resources or inheritance. I’m saying this with an abundance of caution. Make sure any legal documents you have are properly prepared in regards to assets shared with others in your life. There’s a possibility that things were miscommunicated and as a result you are having resources taken from you that others originally gave to you. The bright side is that Venus will be entering this same place shortly and will spend a very long time in this area of your life. So while this might feel painful now it will possibly be rectified in time.

The last big transit of the month that I think needs to be looked at is when Mars in Leo squares Jupiter in Taurus on May 23 causing a friction point between the two planets. In the general forecast I said the transit might mean having to smooth talk your partner into understanding why your time and assets are important to you or the relationship in general. For you this happens between your fifth house of fun or creativity and your eighth house of other people’s resources. The fun you’re working to have with a partner (or possibly children you’re trying to create) might cost you a pretty penny or cost your partner a pretty penny rather. Open communication about what you both want and need will help smooth out this process just know your partner is going to be in their feels and need to receive a lot of care and love from you.
