Sunday May 7th brings Venus entering Cancer in your first house of you and your physical form. Just like the Aries rising folks this transit and theme of self-care Sunday is more of a physical thing. A gathering with your friends or community for pampering your body. Don’t be afraid to set boundaries with people you don’t feel like dealing with on this day. You don’t HAVE to invite them if you don’t want to.
On Saturday May 13th Venus in Cancer has a harmonious energy with Saturn in Pisces in the nature of playboy Jupiter. In the general May forecast I said this read as a long sexual encounter however this is happening in your first house of self and your ninth house of spirituality, long distance travel, and higher education. Now… technically this could be an out of body experience for you. I wouldn’t rule that out. But it could also be a nice little surprise from friends taking you to a place you’ve never been before. Go with the flow people and enjoy yourself.
The next day, Sunday May 14th (Mother’s Day in the USA), Mercury stations direct in your eleventh house of friends and coworkers. Keep in mind that while Mercury is stationing they’re moving slow as hell. The day before might have been beautiful for you personally, but today the communication with those people is going to be slow as molasses in January. It’s ok. Wires get crossed sometimes. Just take your time figuring out what’s going on.
Tuesday May 16th has Jupiter entering Taurus where he’ll stay until 2024. In the general forecast I said that this is a feeling of happiness at having hard work pay off. This is happening in your eleventh house of friends, coworkers, and external community (like online). Are you putting an effort to meet more people and join different communities? Is this an effort to learn about different cultures or just get out there and interact with people more? If you put yourself out there you will be well received by others and create lasting bonds. Jupiter spending a year in this house will be beneficial if you put in the effort for positive things in this area of life. If you don’t put in the effort or put the effort into the wrong things it won’t go how you think it will. Jupiter helps things grow. He’s going to grow whatever you put effort into. If you put no effort you get no rewards. Think back to what happened June 2011 to June 2012 for an idea of the themes that will play out for you this time around.
Mars leaves the Moon’s sign of Cancer and enters the Sun’s sign of Leo on Saturday May 20th at 11:32am EDT. In the general forecast I said that it’s time to bask in the praise from your coworkers or from your online followers who recognize all the effort you’ve been putting into your public image. However, this transit is taking place in your second house of finances and resources. Maybe think about some of the things you have that are just taking up space and letting them go. Do you really need those items in your closet that you never wear and serve no purpose? I’m talking about that pair of pants that are the wrong size, hold zero sentimental value, and that are decades out of style. Think of the things you can get rid of that will make room for all the good things that are headed your way when Venus enters Leo later.
The last big transit of the month that I think needs to be looked at is when Mars in Leo squares Jupiter in Taurus on May 23 causing a friction point between the two planets. In the general forecast I said the transit might mean having to smooth talk your partner into understanding why your time and assets are important to you or the relationship in general. For you this happens between your eleventh house of friends and coworkers and your second house of resources. There’s a possibility that in creating your community that doing so cuts into your funds. Your hand might be forced a bit for this opportunity. Sometimes spending money is really hard cause there’s not much there to begin with. This could show up in the form of a conference or a study abroad opportunity that you struggle to either part with your hard earned cash or struggle to come up with the funds. Attending will help with your self-confidence and those funds should replenish themselves when Venus enters your second house later this year.
