Jupiter in Taurus

Here’s the transcript from the Jupiter in Taurus forecast that I was fortunate enough to be asked to provide for Stormie Grace’s channel. You can find the video here.

Some characteristics and things that Jupiter is known for are: growth and expansion (of all things positive and negative) it can be known for inflation pride and arrogance as well. Remember this planet is based on the mythology of the Greek god Zeus. For as benevolent as he was he also had very low morals. It can be a need to create more success for yourself. (Which requires effort.) He also indicates political ties and positions of authority and holding of office. A release of bonds and of freedom.

Characteristics of Venus and the sign of Taurus are: We know Venus is the planet of love and abundance. Since she rules Taurus an earth sign we get to say that Taurus is known as the sign that values material goods. Not just in the liking of luxurious things as it has come to be known as but as in liking to be grounded in the earth and liking gardening and flowers and fruits and vegetables “toiling the earth”. Simply put nature and being with animals. It can also mean relationships especially if this is your 7th house (Scorpio rising people). According to Vettius Valens “men become judged worthy of crowns”. Able to care for things in the way that they last. 

The two combined could be themes of rich living, increasing your social status, fighting for your philosophy (no matter what the politics are) laziness, an abundance of material goods necessary for life.

Because Venus is the ruler of Taurus it’s important that we keep an eye on Venus throughout Jupiter’s entire stay in Taurus.

The last time Jupiter was in Taurus was June 4th 2011 for those of you who have Saturn in Libra this was your Saturn return. Guaranteed this time around with Jupiter in Taurus, you’ll be able to benefit from this transit way more than you could the last time. When this happened Venus the ruler of Taurus was also present in Taurus along with Mars. The vibe this time around was quest for fame and glory in the career or public image especially for Leo rising people. The moon was in her own sign of Cancer and although Saturn was stationed retrograde at this time he was in Venus’s sign of Libra and therefore exalted in his power. Mercury was in his own sign of Gemini with the Sun in Gemini on its way to a cazimi. The drive to succeed is supported by the a positive mental health situation in which there is clear and abundant communication about boundaries and laws for equity in relationships with friends or coworkers and the local community or siblings. Any problems in Taurus that Mars might bring are squashed because he’s enclosed by both benefics. During this time was the 2011 MTV music awards when Beyonce announced she was pregnant. Kim K married Kris Humphries in a televised wedding. Anthony Weiner forced to resign because of his dick pics. Charlie Sheen tries to make a TV come back with Anger Management. Choose my plate instead of a food pyramid was started. June 4th volcano eruption in Chile. Cattle plague ends. Farm Aid Concert happens Aug 11th. Usain Bolt disqualified from 100m on Aug 28th. Bruno Mars the lazy song was nominated for song of the summer.

The shadow period for Jupiter’s retrograde begins within two days of it entering Taurus so the themes of the retrograde time are rehashed for almost it’s entire first quarter of being in Taurus. The retrograde for Jupiter began on August 31st 2011 when Jupiter was at 10 degrees of Taurus. The vibe at this time was a sense of “just keep swimming”. The Sun and Mercury are able to help each other out even though Venus can’t really help at all. She’s not happy which means even though there’s a harmonious relationship between the two benefics Jupiter is giving Venus more strength than Venus is able to give Jupiter. There’s not a whole lot of resources helping out but there is a shining of light on the resources you do have so that you can communicate who you are and what needs you have to be a better you even if your mental health might feel as though it’s a bit aggressive and scattered as Mars in Cancer tends to be. Saturn is now direct at this time and the Moon in her joy is applying allowing for both emotions and the will of the people to create laws for community. Jupiter went direct on December 25th 2011. At this time the vibe was way happier than when he first entered Taurus. Venus is now in Aquarius and Saturn is at the tail end of his time in Libra. They have a harmonious relationship with each other in two separate ways. There’s a beautiful trine and both planets are in each other’s signs. So even though Venus is given more boundaries she’s able to remain gorgeous and unbothered. There’s also a beautiful relationship between the Sun Moon and Jupiter. Partners and friends are getting along splendidly and parties are in abundance. Possibly an increase in inheritances happening as well or raises from work even if there is harsh words being exchanged. By January the largest blackout internet protest yet happens to oppose SOPA. Hunger Games is released in theaters that March. (Venus is back with Jupiter)

Jupiter’s post shadow period ended when Jupiter hit 10 degrees again on March 18th 2011 when Venus is back in Taurus lending him massive support without any of the malefic planets getting in the way this time around. Jupiter entered Gemini on June 11th 2012 and once again joined Venus. This time Venus was stationed retrograde and has recently become a morning star. She’s more assertive and dominant this way and her relationship with the also retrograde Saturn in Libra is possibly rehashing laws regarding relationships being written and put on the books. The vibe of the chart is a sense of pride for all of that work that you put in during the time that Jupiter was in Taurus. Whitney died. Diamond jubilee for Queen of England Putin became president of Russia. The Rock beat John Cena in world wrestling. The Lion King brings in the most money surpassing Phantom of the Opera. The Avengers premiers. VEEP premiers on TV.

This time Jupiter leaves the sign of Aries and enters Taurus on Tuesday May 16th at 1:20pm EDT. The planet of jovialness entering the Venusian earthy sign of Taurus brings with it the feeling of satisfaction when your nose is to the grind. It’s a recognition from colleagues and friends that you can handle your shit. We might see results of huge court cases coming to light not necessarily with the needs of the people being kept in the forefront. It could also mean that certain earth goods that were lacking are now found to be in abundance. Like the rice shortage that we’re seeing or the formula shortage might be rectified.

Now begins the time to work on those resources and put effort towards them even if it means you are learning to have new skills and resources in private. Sometimes when we send ourselves on new paths it’s best to not tell the whole world about it because when we do they influence our ability to believe in ourselves. Sometimes people, even when they mean well will stop you from pursuing something not because you can’t do it but because they would never be able to do it and so they are warning you with their own fears.
